I didn’t have “widely celebrated homicidal act of vigilantism” on my bingo card for this month, did you?

When Sandyhook happened, everyone sent hopes and prayers, and nothing changed. Thats when a lot of us realized we were too apathetic a nation to evoke the change we wanted…..safer schools, healthcare that wasn’t the leading cause of bankruptcy, life liberty and all that jazz.

But get this…..

A month ago Anthem Health (part of the BCBS family) published a new policy where they were going to stop reimbursing anesthesia if a surgery went longer than their beancounters number table stated.

Freakin evil. you’re already on the table, under the knife, a complication arises….you aren’t going to approve waking up….it’s life or death and the insurance company decides that it isn’t financially beneficial to them?!?!

In what we’re not going to pretend is a coincidence, today Anthem reversed that policy….

While insurance and school shootings aren’t the same…..they both have been beasts to gain any ground on….and this guy did with 3 bullets what 20 years of hopes and prayers have not…..

It got the rich company to stand back and say “mebbe we should rethink the whole profit-above-all” concept.

Did he have a family, was he a good dad? Yes and probably yes as well.

Thoughts and prayers to his family.

Thanks to Citizens United, corporations are people, right? That corp has been declining 30% of all claims, well above the competitions rates. How many lives have been lost because of the paperwork delays and outright greedy policies that drive these corps (UHC had year over year profits of 372 BILLION).

That company, in person form, killed a LOT of people. Mr Thompson just happened to be the one wearing the “Hi, my name is UHC” nametag…..

And he likely couldn’t have done a damn thing….if he went in and said “we’re going to slash our profits to help the nation afford their healthcare” then the board would have drop kicked his ass in a New York minute.

Which makes one wonder…..do any of those C montgomery sons of bitches plan on sleeping well tonight?

All over the country people who have been pushed beyond the edge are thinking……”why has it taken so long to come to this”

The UHC shooter is still loose, and looks like they could be a damned chameleon, if they pull off another one of these….mark my words…..there will be songs written in his honor.

Such interesting times….
